Special Event Days

The pre-defined “special event days”, of which there are only 3 each year (and 8 every other year when the Farnborough Air Show trade days are included), are typically the busiest days of the year at London Heliport and therefore extremely intense operational periods. This major increase in demand and intensity of operations generates additional one-off operational costs for the Heliport in order to provide the necessary levels of service, and therefore an extra fee applies to all landings made on these specific days. The special event charge in effect 1st April 2007 is £100 for all landing fees levied on the following days:

2008 Special Event Dates:

• Cheltenham Gold Cup – 14th March 2008
• Royal Ascot – Ladies Day – 19th June 2008
• British Grand Prix (Silverstone) – 6th July 2008
• Farnborough Airshow (Trade-only days) - 14 to 18th July 2008

In general no parking will be available on these days and all landings are required to adhere to a rotors-running 5 minute turnaround.
